If you use twitter and you're a friend of mine, we can still be buds... but if I read your hourly updates, don't expect to have much to talk to you about when we get together. You should also prepare yourself to receive a good many updates on everything I have been doing since we last saw each other, otherwise known as "conversation." A growing number of my recent "conversations" with friends have been me just saying "yeah, I know."

I don't get twitter
Am I missing something with this? Who would ever thought that there was a market for a service that allowed people to post what they just ate for breakfast and that they are headed out the door early to get gas before driving to work.... then an hour later that they are at their desks and gas was up $.05 today?

what's next, "i don't get being facebook friends with people you don't know?"
sheesh. old people!
[note: i am not a twitter user, nor do i have a lot of facebook friends]
colin is on facebook? oooooh. its on now. how have we avoided each other?
i use facebook for my non-blogging (read high school) friends.
I admit to opening a twitter account just so I could see what all this Lance Twitter bullshit is all about. I cant see maintaining all those e-personalities.
Facebook is nice cause I work alone so much, it gets boring, and facebook talks to me.
Off to send colin a friend request...
Hater.
bt
there goes the kharma again eyebub. you clearly need something to get you back to your center.
I've got my theory on facebook as well...
If these long lost friends were so important to you, you (or they) would have made the effort to stay in touch all along. Something about them or you changed and you developed new friends. The people that were important stayed close, others drifted away... and that's ok.
Facebook is a step up from twitter though, which is just nonsense.
who says i developed new friends? I merely wandered off alone into the wilderness for a couple decades.
Actually, they did change, and now I like them, where as in high school I (gasp) hated everyone. So obviously THEY changed and are now decent enough people for me to associate with, albeit electronically.
The good thing about facebook is that it gives people who would otherwise write terrible blogs a place to post their pictures, links, and the results of their "which muppet are you??" test, thus making the blogosphere marginally less full of complete and utter crap.
"thus making the blogosphere marginally less full of complete and utter crap."
hey
i work really hard to keep the blogosphere full of crap
wow, i think he is calling me out on the muppet test! game on.
i love the muppets. you are too young to get it.
