thats a pretty bike. i love my steel road bike(s) that I have had. i have hated all the AL road bikes that i have had.

so, I am confused. did you just buy another bike, or just trotting out an old fav for the blog?

u just got a road bike from him? i saw it in the car but thought you'd had that for a long time.

get some white tires to complete it ;)

I "ordered" it in May or June of last year when I ordered the cross bike, with the cross bike being the important one. The cross bike was done Oct 2007, the road bike August of this year.

I brought it to Gloucester thinking I'd warm up on it, but never did.

The rear is really worn, I have to buy tires for sure. With so many bikes, it seems I'm always replacing something...

mmm, so you'll be riding that on the Tour of Blackstone Valley this year?

Indeed. I was fondly recalling that ride the other day and thinking about a route and menu for 2009.

with so many bikes you should not need to replace anything! mileage is all spread around over all the bikes!

I may try that argument with my wife...

then again, maybe you just ride more then me.

I put 3200 road miles on the cross bike this year when it was also my road bike. The mtn bike gets used once per month... maybe. The fixed gear sees action in the spring, maybe 30 mi per week. The time trial bike is new, only two short rides so far, but with the ironman next year, it will get used a lot. I think I have 450 miles on this road bike since I got it.

Now I understand why you do all of those home projects yourself.

Saving money for another bike is a worthy reason.....you could have just told me!
