I'm missing Plymouth and probably killing my race at Putney tomorrow by working in this. It sucks, but has to get done. I'm tired of getting water in the basement every spring.
Dude, when I lived in Nashua, I paid NH Basements to come do the same thing. They installed a kick ass industrial strength sup-pump that eliminated the problem. It wasn't that expensive either.
You just gotta learn to pay people to do this crap.
sump pump won't help... the water I get is surface water that comes in at a joint where the original foundation meets the new foundation of the addition seen in the photo. I could have paid someone, but I've got better things to spend money on than something I can do... like dig a hole.
