PMC week

It's here. This weekend's ride will have new meaning. You can be sure that I'll be thinking of those fighting or lost to cancer one each of the four days I consider part of my PMC ride...

48 mi from West Springfield to Southbridge on Aug 3
109.5 mi from Sturbridge to Bourne on Aug 4

Marcia D. Haggis

This past Tuesday July 17th we lost my mother in law, Marcia Haggis. She passed peacefully with family at her side at Newport Hospital, and she will be missed.

This is Marcia with her youngest grandaughter Cory at Middletown's Third Beach July 7, 2006.

PMC less than one month away!

Under one month to go until the PMC and training has been going well. I'll be looking to hook up with the fast guys who try to get to Bourne in 4:45 from Sturbridge... about 27 mph or so. Should be great fun! I've got a few friends working the event as volunteers which will be great as well.

This past weekend we went to visit family in New Jersey and stopped at the Statue of Liberty on the way down. It was overcast but still spectacular. Liberty island is really a nice little park and offers a great view of the city. The trip was nice, but that area is way to flat and packed with people: New England is home.
