it's cold out there!

Holy cow is it cold! The commuting to work has been great, but if it were 20 degrees warmed my feet would be much happier. I think I've got the calculation for how quickly your toes go numb pegged. It only applies for temps below freezing, but if you take the air temp and multiply it by 1.5 that is how long it will take your toes to freeze. Today it was 20 out, and my feet were warm for 30 minutes.

PMC 2007

Yesterday I signed up for the Pan Mass Challenge, a charity fundraising bike ride from Sturbridge to Provincetown MA. At first I was scared of the fundraising commmittment, but as soon as I was signed up and committed that turned to into excitement about the possibility of doing something meaningful in memory of my aunt Judy & grandpa Charlie and in support of my mother in law Marcia.

This is going to be a great summer.

friday night at home

The staples of the typical american home cooked meal, when considered in their simplest form, are pretty boring. You've got chicken, meat, fish, vegetables, pasta and breads. Friday night around here is pretty much the same. TV, internet, reading, housework. The choices kind of suck. But I'm making the most of it and starting this blog. Big things coming in 2007!
